I have a good buddy named Pasta (seriously) that is a fantastic cook. He, along with countless hours of Food Network, sparked my interest in cooking and taught me everything I know about it. Pasta has recently been working Craft Services on a couple of film sets making and serving food for the cast and crew. He had two gigs that overlapped each other so he needed somebody to make food for him one day, thus began my first gig as a professional chef.
For lunch; chicken cacciatore, penne pesto, and a big sald, for dinner; beef roast, baked beans, cornbread, and potato salad. I had to cook in Pasta's kitchen as his house was closer to the set meaning the food wouldn't have to travel as far so I didn't have all of my weapons which I would have preferred, but besides that I had a real blast cooking. The reviews from the cast and crew were great and the director said it was some of the best beef she had ever had.
If this music thing doesn't work out, I have something to fall back on ...

Really?! Well, I've seen posts about your cooking, but I don't know if I tasted it. Wait . . . you made some mac/cheese/veggies last Christmas that was really good. I hope I get to try some more of your good food soon. Congrats on your first food gig!
"He'll fart in your car..."
So dude--next time you're at Chez Cousin, bring your weapons or let me know what you need and YOU can cook here. That will be fab!
Man, I still remember the days when you thought Spam and the jelly in the can were the shiznit!
Be fair Jason, I always rinsed the jelly off of the Spam before eating it. You know what else? I heard recently with the economy in such bad shape sales of Spam have been sky-rocketting.
I still am wondering why a plate of your food never made it home for me? Good job though. I wouldn't mind being married to a chef.
I still love spam too. He learned from the master, it's a Hawaii thing. Tell everyone about getting to play with Ravi Coltrane, John Coltrane's son. That's pretty exciting. I think Kraft Services does airplane food too. Don't do that, not enough variety. Glad you had fun doing it and it was appreciated. LYFE, MOM
Actually Craft Services (with a C) is just a catch-all phrase used to describe those catering film and tv sets. Thats what it means out here anyway.
